According to italian Azienda Nazionale Autonoma delle Strade (‘National Autonomous Road Company’,) cars can be up to 2.55m. Italian police says a driving lane must be at least 3,5m wide.
But it you want 0,75m+1,5m for bycicles and cars are 2,55m your roads must be at least 9,6m wide.
Very few city roads are that wide. The read outsime my house which is a main road in my city is 7m wide.
Please cyclist, if you want that space you must go on sidewalks and become the evil dudes.
