The Debian project has taken the decision<\/a> in 2022-10 to create a new repository component non-free-firmware<\/tt>, and include its content on installation media for the upcoming Debian release bookworm<\/em> to make things easier for our users.<\/p>\nFrom Firmware – Debian Wiki<\/a><\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

So people like me that installed Debian several years ago keeping it updated  shall add to their \/etc\/apt\/sources.list<\/code> a non-free-firmware<\/code> component, like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
