I was sure that Microsoft would have dropped Nokia brand. They seems to be in hurry to erase Nokia brand from memory and brains of people.<\/p>\n

As usual Microsoft buys brands and companies, sacks and plunder whatever they want and throw away the bought brand like an empty skin.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no secret that Microsoft are trying to hide the Nokia name from products, ever so slowly, regional Nokia.com sites have already begun redirecting users to Microsoft owned pages<\/a>; and the word \u201cNokia\u201d is hardly ever mentioned when referencing new devices.<\/p>\n

Now we can confirm that Microsoft will be completely dropping the \u201cNokia\u201d branding from their devices, leaving \u201cLumia\u201d as the hero brand for upcoming devices.\u00a0In fact we understand that the Lumia 830 and Lumia 730 will be the final two devices to launch with \u201cNokia\u201d branded on the phone. \u00a0Future devices will most likely carry the \u201cMicrosoft\u201d name along with \u201cLumia\u201d.<\/p>\n

Furthermore the document also reveals that Microsoft is\u00a0shying away from placing the Windows Phone logo next to their devices in promotions and advertisements, and will instead place the standard Windows logo alongside them (sans the \u00a0\u201cPhone\u201d).\u00a0In fact we understand, from a source with knowledge of the plans, that\u00a0<\/span>this is part of the preparation to leave the \u201cWindows Phone\u201d logo behind, as\u00a0part of a\u00a0gradual phase out of the Windows\u00a0Phone name (and OS) which will merge with the desktop version of Windows in the\u00a0upcoming updates (i.e. no Windows Phone 9).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
