I think he missed an important point, namely the fact that RISC-V is an open standard:
Unlike most other ISA designs, the RISC-V ISA is provided under open source licenses that do not require fees to use
x86 beated all RISCs during the 80ties and 90ties because its ecosystem was more “accessible” than other ISAs. I wouldn’t underestimate the importance of a shared ecosystem.
