Secushare employs GNUnet for end-to-end encryption and anonymizing mesh routing (because it has a more suitable architecture than Tor or I2P) and applies PSYC on top (because it performs better than XMPP, JSON or OStatus) to create a distributed social graph. Together, these technologies allow for distributed private social networking including more straightforward and secure e-mail, chat, exchange of content and a private web. It could even work out as a safer choice for the Internet of Things.
Imagine Facebook, Whatsapp, Gmail and Skype rolled into one, without the centralized surveillance and control. Crazy? Well, it hasn’t been tried before, at least not our way. So let’s give it a try.

Anche se sono online dal 1996 o giù di lì (chiedete a DuckDuckGo se non ci credete!) ho esitato molto ad iscrivermi a Facebook nonostante si fossero iscritti quasi tutti i miei compagni di scuola, amici e conoscenti. Anche se “ce l’han tutti” avevo già annusato la grossa fregatura riassumibile in “se non paghi sei il prodotto, non il cliente” (vedi interessanti disquisizioni sull’argomento qui e qui).
Negli ultimi mesi mi è capitato di usarlo sempre di più, complice un rinnovato interesse per i giochi di ruolo e perché mi è stato chiesto di curare la pagina web della Comunità Pastorale Santa Teresa di Gesù Bambino. Tuttavia siccome ho letto peste e corna della app di Facebook – sarebbe energivora e molto invasiva “succhiando” tutte le informazioni possibili ed immaginabili – avevo cercato di proteggermi usando Front, un client che è software libero, di cui potevo ragionevolmente fidarmi.
Solo che continuava a “sbattermi fuori”, ad obbligarmi a cambiare password ogni due-tre giorni. Insomma. Un disastro. Così mi sono rassegnato a NON accedere dal telefonino, limitandomi ad accedere solo ed esclusivamente dal computer di casa.
Ieri ed oggi ho avuto molto da fare. E stasera provando ad accedere ecco qua:
Ma quale “troppi tentativi”… bah. Dubito di essere così importante che qualcuno abbia tentato di forzare il mio spazietto. Credo tornerò nuovamente a limitare la mia frequentazione.
